Mighty Mouse Has One Less Gene, Lives 20% Longer

Did you know the researchers in USA have summoned a mightier mouse? By means of removing a single gene from a mice's genetic environment, they can suffer a bit fewer age related sickness and can live twenty percent longer, but in humans it will be estimated of about 16 extra years.

Mighty Mouse Has One Less Gene, Lives 20% Longer

What they are trying to do with this cute mouse, well the
"gene that produces the protein S6 kinase 1 (S6K1)" disabled.
The outcome of this are extremely a product of science.

"The change mimicked the effect of keeping the mice on a calorie-restricted diet. Severely restricting the diets of yeast, bacteria, mice and primates have granted these animals unnaturally long lives. For humans, however, maintaining a diet of near starvation would be difficult at best"

So far the researchers are performing different studies more in aiming the S6K1 protein as probably will have a direct link to a permanent life of a mice. There are few people hopes to be benefited by this reproduced drugs so that people can starve their selves longer.
